ジャズを軸に、テナーサックスとタップダンスを融合させた独自の表現で国際的に活動するアーティスト。2005年ハワイ州ホノルル生まれ。
5歳でタップダンスを始め翌年サックスを手にする。小学生で名古屋のLittle Hills Jazz Orchestraに入団し、ビッグバンドの中で即興とアンサンブルの感覚を培う。12歳より音楽理論と実技を本格的に学び、身体性と楽器表現の両面から表現者としての礎を築いた。

中学卒業後に単身渡米し、ジャズ教育において全米屈指の評価を誇るシアトルのRoosevelt High Schoolへ進学。著名な指導者であるScott BrownやSteve Treselerのもとで研鑽を積み、Jazz at Lincoln Center主催の全米最高峰の大会「Essentially Ellington」に3年連続出場を果たす。テナーサックス部門で2年連続最優秀賞に輝き、2024年大会のソロ演奏では、審査員を務めたWynton Marsalisからその卓越した感性を高く評価された。
在学中にはBellevue Jazz Festivalにてワシントン州1位および個人優秀賞を受賞。Starbucks主催「Hot Java Cool Jazz」への3年連続出演や、ジャズラジオ局「KNKX」への出演を果たす。さらにCount Basie OrchestraやOne O'Clock Lab Bandとの共演、Seattle Repertory Jazzのオールスターバンド選出など、本場アメリカのステージで着実にキャリアを重ねた。卒業時には、多大な献身と音楽的業績を讃えられ、栄えあるLouis Armstrong Awardを授与されている。

現在は、世界の名門Berklee College of Musicにて、日本人として史上2人目となるPresidential Scholarship（学長賞・全額特待生）を獲得し在学中。同大学では、現代ジャズサックス界の巨匠George GarzoneやMike Tuckerに師事。高度な即興理論を掘り下げるとともに、伝統的な音色と現代的な独創性の融合を深く追求している。

国内においても、名古屋能楽堂でのタップダンス披露や、名古屋IGアリーナでのBリーグ公式戦オープニングパフォーマンスを務めるなど、ジャンルを超越した表現を展開。「音楽を通じて、人と人とが手を取り合える世界を」という信条を胸に、個人が互いを尊重し調和する平穏な未来を願い、音とリズムが生み出す対話の可能性を世界へ発信し続けている。

Taiyo Fuwa is an internationally active artist known for his unique fusion of the tenor saxophone and tap dance, rooted deeply in the spirit of jazz. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2005.
He began tap dancing at the age of five and took up the saxophone just a year later. During his elementary school years, he joined the Little Hills Jazz Orchestra in Nagoya, where he cultivated his instincts for improvisation and ensemble playing. From age twelve, he committed to the rigorous study of music theory and performance, building a foundation that seamlessly bridges physical rhythm and instrumental expression.

After middle school, he moved to the United States alone to attend Seattle’s Roosevelt High School, a premier institution for jazz education. Under the mentorship of renowned educators Scott Brown and Steve Treseler, he made three consecutive appearances at "Essentially Ellington," the nation’s most prestigious high school jazz competition hosted by Jazz at Lincoln Center. Taiyo was honored as an Outstanding Tenor Saxophone Soloist for two consecutive years, with his 2024 performance earning high acclaim from Wynton Marsalis for his exceptional musicality.
His time in Seattle was marked by a string of accolades, including a first-place finish at the Bellevue Jazz Festival and multiple individual soloist awards. He appeared for three consecutive years at Starbucks’ "Hot Java Cool Jazz" and was featured on the influential jazz radio station KNKX. His rapid rise in the American scene led to collaborations with the Count Basie Orchestra and the One O'Clock Lab Band, as well as a selection for the Seattle Repertory Jazz High School All-Star Band. Upon graduation, he was presented with the prestigious Louis Armstrong Award in recognition of his outstanding musical achievement and dedication.

Currently, Taiyo is a student at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, where he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship—the institution’s highest honor covering full tuition—becoming only the second Japanese student in history to receive it. At Berklee, he studies under modern jazz legends George Garzone and Mike Tucker, delving into advanced improvisational theory while seeking a fusion of traditional tone and contemporary originality.

His performances continue to transcend genres and borders, from showcasing tap dance at the Nagoya Noh Theater to delivering the opening performance for a B.LEAGUE official game at the Nagoya IG Arena. Guided by the belief that music can foster a world where individuals connect and hold hands, he envisions a peaceful future defined by mutual respect and harmony, sharing the transformative power of rhythmic dialogue with the world.

13年にわたりクラシックピアノに没頭し、浜松国際ピアノアカデミーコンクールをはじめとする数々の国際コンクールで上位入賞を果たした、極めて高い技術を持つピアニスト。強固なテクニックと深い表現力を土台に、さらなる芸術的可能性を求めてジャズの世界へと足を踏み入れた。

クラシックで培った構造的な規律とジャズの即興性を融合させ、ビバップやブルースに、対位法的なアイディアを取り入れた独自のスタイルを確立。その演奏は、知性に裏打ちされたフレージングと、濁りのない透明感のあるタッチを特徴とする。

芸術的成長に対して並々ならぬ情熱を持ち、Brad Mehldau、Fred Hersch、Joanne Brackeen、Jesus Molina、John Patitucci、そしてKurt Rosenwinkelといった、現代ジャズシーンを象徴する巨匠たちに師事。特にMehldauとHerschからは、対位法的な語法や叙情的な深み、内声の導き方において多大な影響を受け、自身の音楽哲学の核となっている。ソロ・ピアノにおいては、John Coltraneの「Countdown」といった難曲を革新的に解釈し、ジャズにおける新たな構造的可能性を追求し続けている。

音楽家としての活動に留まらず、中国で最も多忙な若手ライターの一人という顔も持つ。哲学、文学、精神分析学、特にラカン派の理論に深く精通し、その学術論文はニューヨーク大学（NYU）系の学術誌への掲載が検討されるほど高い評価を得ている。この広範な知的探究心は、彼の音楽的ビジョンに独創的な視点を与え、音と構造、そしてその意味についての独自の解釈を可能にしている。

Jim Morrisonのアルバム『An American Prayer』における詩と音楽の融合に触発され、文学的表現と即興言語を融合させる「Poetry on Jazz（ジャズ上の詩）」という概念を提唱。言葉と音の多次元的な対話を試みている。上海やボストンでの演奏を経て、国際的なステージで経験を積んできた彼にとって、日本で演奏の機会を得たことは大きな喜びである。

After dedicating 13 years to classical piano and earning top prizes in prestigious international competitions—including the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition—Yuyang Gao has established himself as a highly accomplished performer. Building on this formidable technical foundation, he transitioned to the world of jazz, seeking to explore new artistic frontiers and expressive possibilities.

Gao’s unique style blends the structural discipline of classical music with the spontaneous freedom of jazz. Rooted in bebop and blues, his playing is enriched by complex contrapuntal ideas, musically informed phrasing, and a signature transparent touch.

Committed to continuous artistic growth, he has studied under some of the most respected masters of the modern jazz era, including Brad Mehldau, Fred Hersch, Joanne Brackeen, Jesus Molina, John Patitucci, and Kurt Rosenwinkel. He is particularly influenced by the contrapuntal language and lyrical depth of Mehldau and Hersch, whose approaches to inner voice leading have profoundly shaped his musical philosophy. His exploration of the solo piano repertoire includes innovative reinterpretations of complex works such as John Coltrane’s “Countdown,” through which he investigates new structural possibilities in improvisation.

Beyond the keyboard, Gao is one of China’s most active young writers. An avid reader of philosophy, literature, and psychoanalysis—with a particular focus on the Lacanian tradition—his academic papers are currently under consideration for publication by journals affiliated with New York University. This intellectual depth significantly informs his musical vision, allowing him to develop original perspectives on sound and structure.

Inspired by the synthesis of poetry and music in Jim Morrison’s *An American Prayer*, Gao has conceived the innovative concept of “Poetry on Jazz.” This artistic approach seeks to merge literary expression with improvisational language, creating a multidimensional dialogue between word and sound. Having performed extensively in Shanghai and Boston, he is truly honored to bring his artistic presence to the stage in Japan.

ストックホルム出身、米国を拠点に活動するベーシスト／コンポーザー。10代の頃から、Kwesi Yvorra（英）、Homeboy Sandman（米）、Nova Luther（スウェーデン）といった国際的なアーティストと共にヨーロッパ全土をツアーし、プロダクション・カンパニーZKWNZから「神童（Wonderchild）」と評されるほどの早熟な才能を見せる。

16歳でBjörn Lyckligのライブアルバム録音に参加。高校卒業後Berklee College of Musicへの全額奨学金（Full Tuition Scholarship）を獲得し、ボストンへ拠点を移した。

バークリーでは、David BowieやJohn Lennonのギタリストとして知られる伝説的レジェンド、Earl Slick氏をはじめとするベテラン勢から、ジャズ・バイオリニストのMaya Leibowitzといった新進気鋭の若手まで、幅広いプロジェクトのボトムを支えている。

入学初年度にして、ピアニストのDanilo Pérez氏がアーティスティック・ディレクターを務める学内の精鋭プログラム「Berklee Global Jazz Institute」への入選を果たす。ジャズの即興演奏を、観客と演奏者の深い繋がりを築くための「対話の道具」と捉え、音楽を通じたより本質的なコミュニケーションを追求している。

Stockholm-born and U.S. based bass player and composer Albin Sundström was described as a "wonderchild" by the production company ZKWNZ when he, still in his teens at the time, started touring and performing throughout Europe with artists like Kwesi Yvorra (UK), Homeboy Sandman (U.S.), and Nova Luther (SWE).

At 16, he had recorded a live album with Björn Lycklig, and right out of high school, he received the coveted full tuition scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston.

There, he has shared his time between playing bass behind veterans like guitar-legend Earl Slick (David Bowie, John Lennon, etc.) and young talents like jazz violinist Maya Leibowitz.

During his first year at Berklee, Albin was admitted to the prestigious Berklee Global Jazz Institute under the artistic tutelage of pianist Danilo Pérez. With jazz improvisation as a tool, Albin seeks a deeper connection between audience and performer.

これまでに、ベーシストのLonnie PlaxicoやMatt Garrison、サックス奏者のTia Fuller、ギタリストのMark Whitfieldといった第一線のアーティストと共演。その才能は、Carnegie Hall、Jazz at Lincoln Center、Walt Disney Concert Hallといった世界屈指の主要ステージでも高く評価されてきた。

リズムへの情熱に加え、The Juilliard School（ジュリアード音楽院）のプリ・カレッジにてクラシック・パーカッショニストとしての研鑽を積み、世界的な指揮者Gustavo Dudamelとの共演経験も持つなど、その音楽的基盤は極めて強固である。

現在はニューヨークのジャズシーンにおける中心的な存在として、自身のバンドを率い、Greenwich VillageのThe Bitter End、BrooklynのShapeShifter Lab、そしてThe Cutting Roomといった象徴的なライブハウスで定期的に演奏。現代音楽のシーンにおいて、唯一無二の存在感を確立し続けている。

Gilberto Moretti-Hamilton is an up-and-coming drummer and multi-instrumentalist from New York City. Raised in a musical family with roots in the Caribbean and Italy, his artistry blends deep swing and a refined touch with a modern edge. Grounded in tradition yet driven by an exploration of sound and grooves, Gilberto has developed a distinctive voice in contemporary music.

He has performed and worked with a diverse array of esteemed artists, including bassists Lonnie Plaxico and Matt Garrison, saxophonist Tia Fuller, and guitarist Mark Whitfield. His talent has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious stages, such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

In addition to his mastery of rhythm, Gilberto’s musical foundation is deeply academic; he trained as a classical percussionist at The Juilliard School’s Pre-College program and has worked under the baton of the celebrated conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

An active force on the NYC scene, Gilberto performs regularly with his own band at iconic venues including The Bitter End in Greenwich Village, ShapeShifter Lab in Brooklyn, and The Cutting Room. He continues to carve out his path, bringing a fresh and powerful energy to the global jazz landscape.
